Great St. Regis breakfast worth indulging in: Restaurant Viu @ The St. Regis Bangkok (27. – 30. December 2018)

| May 4, 2019 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Viu is located on the 12th floor (which is also the reception floor) of The St. Regis and the place you get your breakfast from. As always, The St. Regis breakfast is just a dream come true. They have all the regular stuff you’d expect from any hotel like a bunch of fresh fruit …

… yogurts and candied fruits …

… fruit salad …

… cereals …

… as well as vegetables for salad …

… sushi …

… a bunch of different Asian soups …

… as well as a live cooking station where you can order any egg dish you want as well as a couple of local specialties.

And even more sushi …

… as well as some typical local ‘salads’ …

… bacon, mushrooms, potatoes …

… more local flavor …

… and even more …

… fried rice, noodle dishes as well as the noodle soup bowl station …

… waffles …

… cold cuts and cheeses as well as fruit …

… and last but not least a whole bunch of sweets!

So you really find anything you want and need for breakfast. As mentioned, what I liked most was the live cooking station.

Throughout the days, I went for different dishes, this is juts one example: “Thai poached chicken with fragrant rice and yellow bean dipping sauce”. Frankly, without the bean dipping sauce (careful: spicy!) it would be a bit bland but with the sauce, it makes for a great dish.

The noodle soup station had the same issue – with sauce, tasty. Without sauce, bland.

The service is super attentive and friendly and makes sure you feel comfortable in the breakfast area at all times. Really making it a lovely and great place to have breakfast. If you stay there, definitely take your time to indulge in a luscious breakfast!
