Great German burger grill with friendly service: Restaurant Hans im Glück (31. December 2018)

One might wonder why I would dine at Hans im Glück while in Singapore. Well, if you book such a trip short notice and are super tired, then there is left what there is left. And Hans im Glück was still open at 11pm and offered food. So I went for the “Juicy Beef Burger Käse & Speck (aged cheddar cheese & bacon)” (17.00 SGD) with a “Double Up (2 beef patties) (4.00 SGD) and an additional “pepper crust” (1.00 SGD) plus a salad called “Geleit (mixed salad with Asian dressing flavoured with lime and soy sauce)” (6.00 SGD).

I didn’t expect anything but it was actually surprisingly delicious. The burger patties were good and juicy and I especially liked the pepper crust. The salad was also infinitely better than expected. The “fever-tree (ginger ale)” (5.00 SGD) on the other hand was a super regular ginger ale so definitely nothing special. The place itself looks like everywhere in the world (e.g. Germany) and the service was surprisingly friendly and helpful.
