Decent dishes but not worth traveling to: Restaurant Rôtisserie @ Hotel Waldstätterhof (11. – 12. January 2019)

Last time I’ve been to the Waldstätterhof, I only have had breakfast in the Rôtisserie but this time – given it was a seminar I was attending – I also had dinner and lunch (in that order) here. The starter in the evening looked a bit sad at first but was actually quite tasty.

While the contrast of the black plate with the yellow color scheme was appealing it looked a bit too yellow for my gusto. But the taste was actually good. The mustard sauce together with the beef filet cubes and the mashed potatoes were a good combination you can definitely enjoy.

For dessert, they had offered a “white chocolate mousse” which I am personally a huge fan of! And, therefore, I liked it quite a lot.

Lunch the next day was a salad with mushrooms which was decent but a bit small …

… and some home-made roast with champagne risotto as a main. Decent but nothing overwhelming when it comes to the meat.

All in all, the food is decent, the place is okay, and the service is a bit overwhelmed with the number of clients. I mean, there were maybe like 18 of us but they did not really manage to make sure the glasses remained full at all times. Why not just leave the bottle on the table instead of making the clients wait. Else, fine if you eat here when you have a seminar here or take a weekend break.
