Huge portions but a bit slow for lunch: Restaurant Trattoria Romantica (14. January 2019)
Frankly speaking, the Trattoria Romantica is not one of the places you would walk into when you just see it as it is not really appealing from the outside and even from the inside it somewhat lacks atmosphere. Given the place was ranked rather high on Google though, I decided to give it a try anyway. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, seated us right away and we got the menu to pick from rather swiftly as well. I went for the “tomato soup” (EUR 5.50) as a starter which was – once it arrived after about 25 minutes – surprisingly good as it was freshly made.
The “pizza calabrese (tomato slices, mozzarella, spicy Italian salami and additional anchovies)” (EUR 8.50) was not only good but it was also massive in size! I mean, the pizza went over the plate on all sides and the plate was big. So, if you are looking for a light lunch, this is not the place to go – if you are looking for a luscious, hearty lunch, then this is perfect!
All in all, the Trattoria Romantica is a good place for a hearty lunch but if you are in a hurry, I would not recommend the place. The service is super friendly and caring but I would call the “Romantica” not really romantic to be honest. Still, worth visiting for a lunch.
