Good dishes but the service is out of it: Restaurant Dongwu Chinese Kitchen 东吴廖李 (22. January 2019)

Funny enough that I did not discover this place any earlier but at least shortly before leaving Düsseldorf, I got across the Dongwu Chinese Kitchen and I must say it is quite fine. They offer a selection of lunch menus and noodle soups. I went for the “udon noodle soup withseared beef” (EUR 14.80) and “Edamame” (EUR 3.50) as a starter. Well, the concept of starter and main wasn’t known to them. They served everything at once. The same is true for the fact that if two people have lunch together, it might make sense to serve them at the same time. Apparently, it doesn’t in this place.

However, the dishes are tasty and rich – although the portion looks relatively small, you will walk out of there quite stuffed. All in all, it was tasty, relatively swift but with flaws in their service. Still, worth trying as an option for a quick lunch.
