Nice place but incapable service: Bar 44 @ Grosvenor House (30. March 2019)
The Bar 44 was the last place to visit in the context of the short stay in Dubai – the final drink, if you want. And the final drink was the “Guatemalan Monkey” which reminded me of Trader’s Vic when served. Furthermore, the drink was fruity, sweet, and enjoyable
What is definitely not as amazing is the service. The waitress was incredibly friendly and nice – but the speed of service is just beyond acceptable. All the tables around us had gotten their drinks while we were still waiting (for more than 20 minutes). That’s something I do not entirely understand. Why would you be so inefficient. It is almost not humanly possible. Still, it is one of the places which is still open when you it’s after midnight, so it is okay to have a drink here. But it is not a place I would aspire to have a drink.
