Perfectly swift and tasty lunch offering: Restaurant Gentile (2. April 2019)
The Gentile is a safe bet for a quick and tasty lunch for a very decent price. It is recommended to book your table in advance as for lunch the place is usually super crowded. I went for the menu of the day (CHF 21.00) which started with a “vegetable barley soup” which was hearty and perfect if you haven’t had breakfast.
The “grilled pork steak au gratin with tomatoes, mozzarella, vegetables and potatoes” (CHF 21.00) was surprisingly good. The quality of the meat was better than expected and ultimately, rather flavorful all in all.
The service was attentive and swift and when I had asked for a second bottle of water, I hadn’t even realized that it had been served. So, if you are looking for a swift lunch for a decent price, the Gentile is a good choice.
