Tasty Lebanese food selection but average atmosphere: Restaurant Les Parfums de Beyrouth (4. May 2019)
The idea was to have something quick for a late lunch and the Les Parfums de Beyourth is pretty much the perfect place for such an endeavor. I went for the “kefta plate with minced meat” (CHF 17.00) which offered all you need for a hearty lunch – however, the meat is quite intense in terms of flavor and rather heavy to digest taking a couple of hours for your stomach to settle.
The “hummus plate” (CHF 8.00) is rather large and definitely recommended for two. The hummus is smooth and enriched with tasty olive oil. There is enough pita bread so you actually get everything you want and need.
The place itself is very simple in terms of interior design and ultimately not really a place you go for the atmosphere. But in terms of dishes and price performance ratio, it is a decent combination. With regards to the service there is nothing to complain either – they are friendly and relatively swift. If you are up for an adventure in terms of taste, try the ‘Ayran’ (CHF 3.00) which is some kind of salty liquid yogurt. Not really the most inspiring flavor but interesting for a change.m
