When your search for shisha finally has an end: Al Manzil Café (4. May 2019)
Geneva is a place where you have a lot of people from Northern Africa and the Middle East resulting in a vivid selection of ‘shisha places’. But there is also ‘vivid rip-off’. In the Kempinski, for example, they want between CHF 80.00 to CHF 200.00 for a shisha. Excuse me? I mean, that is just plain ridiculous. Unless I’m actually getting a bar of gold or a diamond with it, this is just outrageous!
After trying out a few places, I finally found a place which offers good and decently priced shisha. The “double apple shisha” (CHF 30.00) in the Al Manzil Café was good and the service was relatively friendly and swift. Sometimes you had to call their attention to make sure they would see you if you needed new charcoal or wanted to order some “Moroccan tea” (CHF 6.50) but else, all good.
On top of that, the atmosphere of the place is rather authentic – it is dark, smokey, and there are a lot of sofas and cushions making it a cozy and relaxing place. If you look for a shisha, avoid all the high-priced fancy places and visit an authentic place like the Al Manzil Café!
