Traditional location perfect for a swift dinner: Restaurant National zum goldenen Leuen (20. May 2019)

| June 12, 2019 | 0 Comments

It is easily a couple of years ago since I’ve last paid the Restaurant National zum goldenen Leuen a visit and I though Monday evening was good moment to do so again. I went for the “home-made potato salad with onions and a vinaigrette sauce” (CHF 7.50) which was a good potato salad – and the portion was much bigger than expected.

As a main course, I went for the “beef tartar from Thurgau served with onions, butter and toasted home-made bread” (CHF 27.50) which was absolutely decent. Frankly, not the best tatar I have had in my life but good enough to enjoy it accordingly.

The place is very traditional and appealing in its interior design. Furthermore, the servic is relatively swift and very friendly and within a few minutes your beverages are served. So, all in all, the National zum goldenen Leuen remains a good choice for short dinner. Booking in advance is not necessary.
