Good drinks with a competent bar tender: The Marble Bar @ The Nobis Hotel (30. May 2019)
While I definitely liked the capabilities of the bar tender, I must say, I was a bit disappointed with ‘The Marble Bar’. The bar is basically the entry area of the breakfast restaurant NOI. Not that there is something wrong with that as a general idea, however, the fact that it is basically one long ‘tunnel’ instead of something like a bar feeling doesn’t make it very appealing.
Admittedly though, the “Apple & Pears (Angostura 1919, Lime, Apple, Pear, Mint)” (135 DKK) was a tasty drink although it consisted to about 85% of an ice cube and only the rest around it was actual drink.
What I did like a lot though was the flexibility of the bar tender – when we had arrived back to the bar after the dinner, there were only a couple of guests left and the bar was about to close but the waiter came straight up to us offering us to still serve a last drink if we ordered straight away – which we did.
And although it became 1am (closing time is midnight), it wasn’t a problem after all and we were allowed to stay until we had finished our drinks. So, therefore, great bar tender, not so great atmosphere.
