Great idea but weak execution: Rooftop 93 (15. June 2019)
I tried to find a place close to the restaurant for a little drink before that – and ideally a rooftop spot. Funny enough, the one I had intended to visit first was closed due to a private event so on short notice and without really having time to plan, we ended up at Rooftop 93 which is on the top floor of a hotel. Now, there seemed to be a happy hour going on as it was rather crowded when we had walked in. But given we had walked in shortly before the happy hour came to its end, it got rather empty and calm afterwards (which was nice).
I went for the “The Silver Fox (Belvedere vodka, elderflower liquer, fresh grapefruit juice, splash prosecco)” (16.00 USD) which was boozy as hell but else really somewhat offensive. I mean, how can you sell something for 16.00 USD and then make it taste quite nasty and very boozy. Probably serves the average customer coming for the booze effect – if you want a decent drink, don’t go here.
If you’re happy to sip a tea and enjoy the view, then maybe go here. But I’m sure there is way better rooftop bars than this.
