Lovely little wine bar where you need a reservation: By the Wine Bar (22. June 2016)
What I like about Google Maps is the fact that their ratings are generally quite reliable. I was looking for a bar which was in walking distance to the restaurant where we’d go later. And the “by the wine” bar popped up. The place was – no surprise there – super crowded and we were – as a group of six – only able to drink something standing around one of the barrels. The “Vinho Verde” (EUR 10.50) we got was not only quite tasty but the service was also friendly and jovial.
Only in terms of speed, it would have been highly recommended to make it quicker. The fact that the waitress – who was super friendly – was doing several things at a time making us wait quite a bit until we got our beverages. Else, the “By the wine bar” is definitely a place which belongs on any to do list when visiting Lisbon – make sure to book a table in advance though.
