Great service and good dishes: Restaurant Cantinetta Antinori (25. July 2019)

| August 20, 2019 | 0 Comments

The Cantinetta Antinori is always a good choice – not necessarily a cheap choice – but a good one. On a hot summer day it is perfect to sit outside in the little area which is covered by trees and you don’t get to feel the heat too much. Once you’re seated, our waitress, Anna, was there right away and made sure that the menu was brought as well as the beverages. As a starter I went for the “mozzarella di bufala con pomodori e basilico” (CHF 17.00) which was great as the tomatoes were aromatic and rich in flavor – and the mozzarella di bufala was also rather delicious. Of course some olive oil had to be applied but that was just the perfect finish to a good dish.

As a main course, I went for the “filetti di pesce persico dall’Estonia su rucola con patate al forno” (CHF 36.00) [aka ‘Egli’] which was great in terms of taste and the filets were rather large. What wasn’t entirely practical was the rocket salad full of salad sauce which made eating it quite a delicate topic. And, frankly speaking, I think there could have been a bit more on the plate for the price.

The “potatoes” which were served with it were very regular fried potatoes – not more and not less than that.

The area outside is overall quite nice and comfortable – and if you’re lucky and get Anna as a waitress you will for sure have great service and a flawless experience.

Just make sure to book a table in advance as else you won’t really have a chance to get a table.
