Decent place with generally tasty dishes and great view: Restaurant Pumpstation (30. July 2019)
It is quite some time ago since I’ve been to the Restaurant Pumpstation but in summer it is quite perfect for lunch – I had something light, i.e. a “salad plate with fish crisps” (CHF 27.50) which was quite a portion (especially with the bread) and the fish crisps were fine but there were more crisps than fish actually. So, in any case, the food is decent.
The “French fries” (CHF 6.50) which were served with it were fine as well. The truly nice part about it is the view though – if you get to score a table by the lake shore, it is super relaxing.
The service is friendly but also not the quickest – so you have to kind of make sure they notice you when you want to order. Luckily though, once you’ve managed to place your order, you will be served rather quickly. The ice tea (0,5l) (CHF 8.20) is a bit on the expensive side but at least freshly prepared and refreshing. One thing which you have to consider – you have to bring cash as they do not take any kind of debit or credit card.
