A surprisingly amazing Asian food experience: Restaurant Khujug (6. August 2019)
When I found the Khujug I was not really expecting much as the area where the restaurant is located is not really famous for great food but more for the naughty area of Zurich. In any case, the Khujug is a great surprise as it offers good dishes for a fair price like the “edamame” (CHF 7.00) or the “fried wontons with pork filling (5 pieces)” (CHF 9.00) as starters.
I was expecting the “crunchy duck strips with black pepper sauce (carrots, beans, chilis, onions)” (CHF 26.50) to be rather cheap in quality but it turned out that the quality of the duck was great and so was the rest of the dish. I must say, I liked it surprisingly much! Something I had not expected.
The interior of the Khujug is simple but appealing and the service actually does a great job – they are friendly, swift, attentive, and make sure you have everything you need within a very short time. Attentive service like that is something you do not find often enough, I must say. So, if you’re looking for good Asian food within a nice interior, friendly service, and super fair prices, the Khujug should definitely be on your agenda!
