Decent Italian lunch with slow service: Restaurant Kolosseum (8. August 2019)

| September 9, 2019 | 0 Comments

The Kolosseum has an interesting concept when it comes to the lunch menu – they just have three to five dishes from which you can pick. There isn’t any menu, there is just the waiter telling you what there is. And you will only see the price for the menu once you get the bill. I started the lunch with a salad which was absolutely average.

The “Pizza Prosciutto Menu” (CHF 19.90) was actually quite decent. The pizza has a good size, the dough is tasty, and the crust isn’t too thick so it is still enjoyable. In terms of timing, there is room for improvement though for lunch – we had to wait 25 minutes between the salad and the main course which is – in my book – definitely too much.

All in all, the Kolosseum is okay for lunch but nothing I would necessarily visit again.
