Tasty Tibetan food with one typical dish – momos: Restaurant Tenz (13. August 2019)
I was at another Tenz about one year ago and I had a quite fond memory of it. The momos, this typical Tibetan dish was something I had already liked the last time but I was missing the variety of dishes a bit. In order to achieve this, I decided to try different momos tonight. I went for a combination of 8 momos (each CHF 2.00) with “Tenz classic beef”, “Tenz classic vegi (spinach, peas, potatoes, paneer, mushrooms and tofu)”, “Tenz vegan (dried shitake mushrooms, ceps, chick peas, koriander)” and “Tenz pork”. In combination with a bit of soy sauce and the very spicy chili sauce, they are quite a lovely dish.
The atmosphere in this Tenz is less family-like than the other one as it is a bit larger. The service is friendly and also relatively swift. And even the wine selection, e.g. with “Ripasso della Valpolicella Domini Veneti, Corvina, Corvinone, Rondiella, IT, Veneto” (CHF 58.00) was quite decent. So, if you want to try Tibetan food, the Tenz is the right choice.
