The perfect place for a pit stop during a helicopter flight: Restaurant Rose-Beizli Schwesteregg (17. August 2019)
It was the first time that I’ve ever flown a helicopter and I must say it is an absolutely unique experience definitely worth doing if you have the chance. Besides the adrenaline you have flowing trough your body, there is one more thing which makes it rather amazing . the fact that there are so called helicopter restaurants. If you let them know in advance you can book a landing and easily have lunch there.
The Rose-Beizli Schwesteregg is located quite high up in the mountains and is not really in any place you would usually just randomly pass by. However, it is absolutely worth flying there. I went for the “boiled meat salad” (CHF 17.00) which was great in terms of taste and also in terms of how it was prepared. All colorful and just enjoyable – not only by looks but also by taste.
The helicopter landing spot is just 50 meters away from the restaurant.
And they have a little patio in which you are seated and get to enjoy your food. Overall, just a lovely experience.
Berti, the owner of the place is incredibly friendly and welcoming and the dishes and drinks are served within a very short period of time. All in all, the Rose-Beizli Schwesteregg is definitely a great place to make a short helicopter stop.
