Lovely place with good food: Restaurant Blaue Ente (3. September 2019)
I was in the Blaue Ente about 2 years ago and it was time to return again, so I decided to have something light that evening starting with a “peach burrata, pine nuts, basil” (CHF 23.00) which tasted surprisingly good. Somehow I was rather skeptical about the combination of the sweet peaches with the salty burrata but it was actually mouth-watering.
The “small beef tatar with bread” (CHF 28.00) looked a bit too green at first but there was enough food on the plate after all and the tatar was actually quite fine too.
The “Züri Frites” (CHF 6.00) which I had as a side dish also did the trick in terms of stuffing you. And they were nicely crunchy without being burnt. All in all, the dishes in the Blaue Ente were actually absolutely enjoyable!
I also liked the atmosphere of the place as it is relatively spacious, you still have your privacy, and the interior design is somehow appealing. The only thing which wasn’t entirely to my liking – the service was somewhat slow and not entirely attentive. Very friendly, admittedly, but not very efficient.
