Outstanding Entrecôte de Paris: Restaurant netts (16. September 2019)

Whenever I have been to the netts in the past, it was almost always for a formal event with a menu which was comprised of a couple of courses. Tonight, I decided to have something smaller – also due to the fact that I only found time to eat something around 9:30pm. It is always incredible how much the service varies and how much it makes a difference. The waitress we had was relatively unmotivated to do a good job and was somewhat grumpy. Not sure why, not sure what happened but you did not feel welcome as a guest.

At least she was swift and we placed our order within a few minutes. I went for the “entrecôte Café de Paris” (CHF 45.00) which was good in terms of quality of the meat as well as the flavor of the sauce! Definitely a can do and also a relatively smart portion size and much cheaper than what I’m used to for the same.

The “French fries” (CHF 6.00) weren’t all too special but in combination with the Café de Paris sauce from the entrecôte, they turned out to be just fine!

The “three scoops of ice cream” (CHF 15.00) with sour cream, yogurt and berry flavor were just perfect to round up the evening!

I like the netts in terms of atmosphere as it is an old brewery (or actually right next to a still functioning brewery) and, therefore, relatively appealing in terms of interior design. And if you get the right waiter, all is good. Definitely important though for the whole experience.
