Great atmosphere but average overall experience: Restaurant Steak Boutique (11. October 2019)

The Steak Boutique sounded very promising to me but I must say that it was not as good as I had hoped for. The place itself is super lovely especially since there is a little patio in which you can sit and which is quite spacious. However, it was incredibly warm in there so it was absolutely uncomfortable after a very short time.

The service was friendly though and showed up quite quickly after our arrival. We placed our orders and within a few minutes we got the drinks and he took our order. I went for the “Jerusalem Artichoke cream soup (monkfish, olive oil, lemon)” (EUR 7.50) which was tasty but the monkfish was just one piece which was a bit disappointing as I had somehow expected that there would be a few small pieces instead.

The “Austrian beef filet” (300gr) (EUR 40.50) on the other hand was actually quite good in terms of quality of the meat. However, it was lacking the grill flavor I like so much. The meat was tender and savory yet not entirely satisfying.

The “home-made steak fries” (EUR 4.90) were a good add to the meat …

… and so was the “creamy leaf spinach” (EUR 4.90).

All in all, I can recommend the Steak Boutique but you should go in summer as you can sit in the patio without feeling like you’re boiling away. Else, the food is good but definitely nothing extraordinary, so, solid choice but far from mind-blowing.
