Traditionally Austrian: Restaurant Welscher Stub’n (12. October 2019)

| November 13, 2019 | 0 Comments

The Welscher Stub’n was conveniently located right next to Katze Katze and offers traditional Austrian dishes. I went for the “pumpkin risotto with Parmesan cheese” (EUR 9.90) which was a decent portion for a starter and was actually tasty. However, you can easily realize that the risotto wasn’t freshly prepared as the risotto was very smooth and the fact that it was served within 10 minutes.

The “veal liver (in its juice, slices of apples, bacon, fried potatoes, cranberries)” (EUR 21.90) was great in terms of taste and flavor. However, given I had expected slices of liver and not the whole liver, I was not entirely satisfied but the dish was admittedly very good.

The “dessert platter” was just an exaggeration! I mean, it looked great but I wasn’t even able to eat any of it (besides the fact that I’m not big on sweets)!

The place is rather traditional in terms of interior decoration and you can see that there is a lot of tradition in this building. The waitresses are friendly and do a solid job making sure that you get everything you need in due time. If you are looking for some traditional Austrian dishes, the Welscher Stub’n is definitely a restaurant you should visit while in Graz.
