Decent low-cost lunch buffet: Restaurant Mughal Pavillion @ ITC Mughal, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Agra (3. November 2019)

Given I was rather skeptical in trying out a local restaurant (due to being afraid of having major stomach issues afterwards), the guide brought us to their sister hotel in Agra, the ITC Mughal where they offer a “brunch buffet incl. soft beverages” (1’999 INR) with quite an extensive buffet ranging from all kinds of noodle and rice dishes …

… to traditional Italian dishes (which I didn’t try) …

… crisps and chips …

… and a lot of different typical Indian curries …

… as well as a luscious dessert buffet …

… a salad buffet …

… and a lot of small starters.

So, basically, it doesn’t really matter what you like, you will find something you’ll enjoy and like for sure as the selection is rather extensive and the food is great in terms of quality.

The restaurant is rather simple in terms of interior design but it is compensated by the very friendly and swift personnel which does a great job to make you feel comfortable and enjoy the lunch experience. Until the very moment when you order the bill and it takes – again – ages. I must start a survey once why restaurants take so much time to finally bring the bill to their customers as it is – to me – completely illogical why the last and (in my view) best part for the restaurant is not executed in a more efficient way.
