Decent and high-quality breakfast selection: Restaurant Círculo Mercantil @ Círculo Gran Vía, Autograph Collection (30. November 2019)
The breakfast buffet is not overly extensive but offers everything you need for a solid breakfast ranging from bread …
… to cold cuts and smoked salmon …
… a variety of fruits …
… some yogurt …
… and cereals.
And of course you also get some fruit juices. As said, the selection isn’t very extensive but the quality of the ingredients is absolutely great.
You also get to pick your egg dishes from the menu, so I went for the “scrambled eggs with onions and melted cheese” which were absolutely enjoyable and not overly large as you so often get them in many hotels.
The “traditional Spanish churros and hot chocolate” on the other hand weren’t entirely to my liking as they are – in my opinion – in no way comparable to the Mexican churros which are sugar coated and which I definitely like better.
The interior design of the Círculo Mercantil is absolutely lovely and atmospheric and the staff does a good job to attend you making sure you have everything you need. So, if you stay at the Circula Gran Vía hotel, I can definitely recommend you to have breakfast here.
