Surprisingly delicious Korean dishes with relatively slow service: Restaurant Miss Miu (3. December 2019)

| December 26, 2019 | 0 Comments

I was a bit skeptical about the Miss Miu as it sounded somehow very alternative – and it turned out I was wrong. It is actually a Korean restaurant which has quite a lovely offer in terms of dishes. As a starter I went for the “Terrarossa Sign (home-made, fried Korean mandus with vegetables, 4 pieces)” (CHF 11.50) which were tasty little dumplings with an enjoyable sauce.

The “Late Sunset (Korean fried chicken starter with dirty cheese sauce and Artistan hot sauce – the naughty version)” (CHF 13.50) was definitely delicious – especially because of the ‘naughty cheese sauce’ (as they called it).

The “Edamame (edamame with Korean chili salt)” (CHF 6.50) were regular edamame but in that context also enjoyable. Somehow, they were not so consistent when it comes to service. When it was about receiving your starters, this has happened within almost no time. However, when it was about getting my ginger tea, it took them a solid 15 minutes which I consider a bit too long for heating up some water and putting a couple of slices of ginger in it.

The “Sue Say Me (vegetable bibimbap with Korean BBQ sauce, sesame oil, rice, beans, spinach, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, roasted onions and egg)” (CHF 25.50) was amazing. The only hassle about the whole thing is the fact that you kind of smell like a whole Asian kitchen in the end as this dish is served in a hot stone bowl so the food still cooks when it is placed in front of you. However, the dish is a absolutely delicious and very enjoyable! Definitely recommended!

All in all, I was super positively surprised about the Miss Miu (also because my expectations weren’t initially very high) – the only thing which can definitely be improved is the service. They are definitely friendly but they are not really what people would call efficient. IN any case, I would highly recommend you to book a table in advance as else you won’t stand a chance to actually get a table.
