Lovely drink but not really what I’d call service excellence: Lobby Bar @ AC Hotel by Marriott Málaga Palacio (22. December 2019)

Given the room was not ready to check in at 3:30pm (which it definitely should have been), the offer was to have a drink at the bar to wait while the room was being prepared. Now, I’m not a big fan of waiting when you arrive after the guaranteed check-in time but I must say the “Ramos Fizz (Gin Master’s, limón, azúcar, clara de huevo pasteurizada y soda)” (usually EUR 8.00) was actually a revelation! Frankly, I was super skeptical given the general mood of letting me wait for way too long and the speed in which the drink was created didn’t really add to that, but the drink was exquisite.

The bar itself is small and usually – even when it’s packed in the evening – the waiters do not do well in terms of speed and attention. However, the place is okay for a hotel bar but there are better places in this hotel in terms of atmosphere like the rooftop bar!

All in all, if you want to enjoy a good drink, the Ramos Fizz is definitely a great selection and you should spend the time waiting in anticipation of the drink. Else, I would not really recommend visiting the bar just like that.
