Amazing view onto the Alhambra during sunset: El Huerto de Juan Ranas (26. December 2019)
The El Huerto de Juan Ranas is mainly good for one thing which is watching the sunset over the Alhambra. And if you are early enough you get to sit in a nice spot, take in the sun and wait for it to go down while you drink a “water” (EUR 3.00) or a “green tea” (EUR 3.75).
The view of the Alhambra is lovely when the sun is still fully up …
… and becomes even prettier once the sun sets. I suppose in summer, when the sun basically goes down behind the Alhambra, it will be even more impressive.
The place is simple in terms of decoration but very functional and despite being a spot where a lot of people want to sit down, they do not rush you to finish your drinks. The waiters and waitresses are generally friendly and helpful and for the size of the space also rather swift. So, if you want to chill and see the Alhambra, the El Huerto de Juan Ranas is the place to go to.
