Lovely atmosphere but very average breakfast: Restaurant El Claustro @ Hotel Palacio De Santa Paula, Autograph Collection (27. December 2019)

| January 30, 2020 | 0 Comments

The breakfast selection at the El Claustro is relatively limited. There is a bit of everything but beyond the basics like fruit …

… a few cold cuts and cheeses …

… and more fruit …

… or cereal elements …

… bread with the typical Spanish tomato sauce as well as guacamole is all there. So you will find something or breakfast.

However, if you want an egg dish, they will charge you extra – an “omelet con queso y chistorra” accounts for EUR 7.00. Admittedly, the omelet is good but it’s rather tiny and I find EUR 7.00 for some egg just too much. So, frankly, not entirely optimal in terms of breakfast selection. The quality is good though to be fair.

What I liked about the breakfast premise is the location as it is somewhat modern and traditional at the same time …

… and there is a lovely little patio in which you can enjoy your breakfast (in summer).

All in all, the El Claustro is not a place you’d travel to to have breakfast but if you’re staying at the hotel anyways, getting some breakfast is definitely an option.
