Delicious lunch menu – even serving boar: Restaurant MASI Wine Bar (8. January 2020)
Somehow, the MASI remains a good address for lunch as they manage to provide you with a tasty lunch and a swift business lunch experience. Today, they started with a simple amuse bouche which was basically a mini caprese with an olive on top.
The soup of the day was a “cauliflower soup with chive” and was quite okay – however, almost a bit too cold to be enjoyable.
What I liked a lot, was the menu of the day. The “filetto di cinghiale, salsa ai mirtilli, funghi cantarelli e tagliolini” (CHF 27.00) was great. The boar was absolutely tender, perfectly cooked, and incredibly aromatic. In combination with the sauce and the mushrooms, it was a perfect match. The tagliolini were good but there wasn’t quite enough of it to be honest. A little bit more would have been just perfect!
The service is attentive, friendly, and makes sure that you get your dishes within a very reasonable amount of time – including the “double espresso” (CHF 6.50) or the bill at the end. Booking even for a slow day like Monday or Tuesday highly recommended!
