Good lunch offering with swift and friendly service: Restaurant Facincani (21. January 2020)
What I like about this restaurant is the fact that they have a rather generous starter soup which is included in the lunch menu – “tortellini al brodo”. The soup itself is rather average but the fact that they put quite some tortellini in it makes it more pleasant. And they are actually also delicious!
The “scaloppine (schnitzel from a Swiss pig with basil sauce and pasta)” (CHF 26.00) was better than expected. The scaloppine was cooked perfectly and very enjoyable overall. The basil sauce sounded a bit weird and surprising to me at first but actually turned out to be absolutely great – and the pasta was cooked al dente just how it should be.
The interior of the place is absolutely lovely and the service was very good today – they are swift, friendly, and make sure you get your things within a reasonable time frame. Only the bill took a bit to arrive at our table – but else, definitely recommended. It’s important to book a table in advance as else you won’t score one for a busy lunch.
