Great location for a swift business lunch menu: Restaurant Bärengasse (10. February 2020)
I increasingly become a fan of the lunch menus in the restaurant Bärengasse – today, the menu started with “truffled black salsify soup” which was intense in flavor and quite enjoyable.
As a main course, they served a “Viennese Schnitzel” (CHF 32.00) which was not only quite large in terms of size but also sufficiently thin and tasty in terms of flavor.
The “Pommes Alumettes” I had as a side dish (and which were part of the menu) were not all that great though. So, definitely the weak link in that dish. All in all though, you get a great lunch offer for only CHF 32.00 which satisfied me in terms of portion size and in terms of flavor.
On top of that, the service was good as the waiter was swift and friendly and the atmosphere is quite nice too. It isn’t entirely perfect in terms of privacy as the tables are quite close to each other but other than that, it is definitely recommendable. Booking a table in advance is key though.
