Decent option in Son Antem: Restaurant La Finca Son Antem (22. February 2020)
The La Finca Son Antem is located in the Marriott Vacation Club and can only be accessed through the main gate – security isn’t really tight though. Once you’ve arrived, you are welcomed by a nice building which emits somehow a kind of antique feeling. The waiters were friendly and super swift although we hadn’t booked in advance (which seemed to be necessary). We started with “pan con alioli y olivas” (EUR 2.00 per person) and the alioli was truly tasty – but intense.
As a starter, I went for the “ceviche e lubina y langostinos con aguacate y mango” (EUR 18.00) which was good and refreshing but was a bit heavier on the shrimp side and not so heavy on the sea bass side which I would have liked more as the consistency and texture of the dish would have improved.
The “ensalada mediterránea selección de lechugas, tomate, zanahoria, cebolla y ventresca de atún” (EUR 14.00) was really a simple yet decent salad with greens and some canned tuna. Nothing spectacular but good to eat and, therefore, fine, all in all.
The Restaurant La Finca isn’t worth the drive from Palma de Mallorca but if you’re staying in the Marriott Club Son Antem, then it’s definitely a fine place with a nice atmosphere, friendly waiters, decent food, and relatively fair prices.
