An exquisite lunch offering with great service: Restaurant Quadrat & Garden (23. February 2020)

The Quadrat was a recommendation from the Guide Michelin 2020 app and I must say, a very good one. For lunch, they offered the “menu arroces” (EUR 24.50) which was basically three small bites, a rice dish of your choice plus a dessert. The starters were “fish fritters with vegetables in Mallorcan style” and “smoked aubergine tatare with toasted nuts bread”. The fish fritters were okay but the “smoked aubergine” was truly outstanding – definitely a lovely way to start lunch.

The “‘huevos rotos’ with potato parmentier and sobrasada” is interesting to eat as you first have to scramble the egg yolk which is covered below the crunchy things there. And once you’ve mixed it together very well, it becomes a quite delicious dish.

As a main, I went for the “creamy rice with Iberian pork shoulder, seasonal mushrooms and parsley emulsion” which was delightful! The rice was nice in terms of consistency and it was, in combination with the flavor of the Iberian pork, absolutely mouth-watering! Definitely highly recommended!

The “fruit salad” is, as you can see, rather simple but it has a variety of fresh fruit which all aren’t sour or the like making it a nice dessert.

The place is not only lovely in terms of interior design (booking highly recommended) but they also manage to provide you with an outstanding service performance making sure your water glass (and it empties quite quickly usually when I drink) is always full and that you don’t spend too much time waiting between the dishes.

All in all, I can highly recommend the Quadrat as it is a nice location with good service, tasty dishes and an amazing price performance ratio. Booking – even off-season – is highly recommended!
