A great vegetarian hideaway in the city centre: Restaurant Temple Natura (26. February 2020)

If you are hungry around 4pm in Palma de Mallorca it is rather difficult to find a place which is still open and when I got across Temple Natura I was a bit skeptical as it is a vegetarian location. However, given the good ratings in Google (4.6 on average), I was keen to give it a try. When I entered, the first room was empty which was due to the fact that everyone was sitting in the garden in the back – and that’s where you should head too.

Once you’ve ordered your food (which only comes in an oral menu as it changes every day), you are served some bread, olives, and gazpacho like sauce which was a good way to get your stomach started.

As a main, I went for the “chili sin carne with avocado” (EUR 12.00) which was much better than I had expected. The combination of beans, rice, tomato sauce, and the bread with avocado on top was just exquisite.

The waiter is also the owner, Alejandro, and is super friendly and helpful at all times. When we walked out, he even invited us for a “chai tea” and we got to talk a bit with him. Friendly guy, originally from Colombia, and definitely contributing a lot to the success of the place – it’s lovely, original, close to nature with a small but great food offering.

As mentioned, the garden is definitely the big asset here – as the place creates an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation.

All in all, I can absolutely recommend the Temple Natura as it is a nice place with a friendly owner, good food, and very fair prices!
