Set breakfast option due to the Coronavirus: Garden Café @ Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers (14. March 2020)

| April 13, 2020 | 0 Comments

Given Coronovirus measures, there was also no buffet for breakfast but a set menu for breakfast which consisted of “soup, ham, bacon, sausage, hashed potatoes, locally grown vegetable salad, fruits, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bread, and tea” plus …

… rice if you asked for it (which I did). All in all, the breakfast selection was decent and the food was actually also quite good, however, it is not really that you were able to “pick” what you wanted but there was just kind of a standard set menu for everyone. I get that in terms of efficiency (although we had to wait 20 minutes until it was served) but it is somewhat of a disappointment when you just have to eat what they put there for breakfast. I would rather have you picking what you want and then they assemble that. Well, I suppose, special times require special mental flexibility.

The staff in the Garden Café is friendly and tries its best to make it a pleasant experience but given the time they needed to prepare the food, they do not entirely succeed (less a staff but a kitchen problem, I assume) and the breakfast hall itself is probably fine when you are there on a sunny day but not so much when you are there on a rainy day (as I was).
