Lovely service and decent dishes after a round of golf: Restaurant 19 @ Migros Golfpark Otelfingen (6. June 2020)

After a round of golf, the Restaurant 19 is a surprisingly nice location to have something small to eat. Admittedly, it isn’t really the most atmospheric place but that is easily compensated for through the friendly and caring service and the definitely tasty dishes. I went for the “Golfpark-Beef-Burger (medium, 200gr; home-made chimichurri, avocado, cole slaw, French fries, home-made ciabatta buns)” (CHF 31.00) which was good – the meat was a bit overdone (more than medium) which was a pity but the combination of the chimichurri, the avocado and the home-made ciabatta bun with the juicy meat was outstanding. The French fries were nicely crispy and the cole slaw was fine too.

The “Sour Cream Icecream” (CHF 4.50) I had as a dessert – together with a “double espresso” (CHF 5.50) – was a good ending to the snack.

What was truly exquisite was the service by Anita. She was very professional, friendly, and had a certain level of joviality which was absolutely pleasant. The prices are generally absolutely fair which is also true for the beverages e.g. with 1l water for CHF 9.00 or a bottle of “Insoglio” for CHF 55.00. So, all in all, the Restaurant 19 isn’t a place I’d come for if I wasn’t around but if you have played a round of golf here, then it is definitely a place I can recommend you to have a drink and a snack at.
