A great place for business lunches with swift service: Restaurant Amalfi (2. July 2020)
The restaurant Amalfi remains a safe bet when it comes to business lunches – nice atmosphere, good service, decent food, and relatively fair prices (although not on the cheap end). As a starter, I went for the “parmigiana di melanzane classica” (CHF 22.00) which was simple but absolutely delicious as the combination of the eggplant with the mozzarella and the fresh basil leaves really led to happy feelings in my mouth.
The “tagliolini fatti in casa al tartufo nero estivo” (CHF 40.00) were definitely good. The truffle isn’t the best I’ve had in my life but it was absolutely decent and the sauce in which the pasta was served, plus the fact that the pasta was prepared al dente, really made it a delicious main course.
The waiter was friendly and swift and made sure we had everything we needed within a short period of time. The Amalfi remains a great place for business lunches and if you manage to get a table outside, it’s even better as you get to enjoy the sun while being shielded from it. Booking in advance is, as always these days, highly recommended.
