22. February 2011: Restaurant @Sporthotel Oberwald
The “Plättli” with cheese and meat in the Restaurant at the Sporthotel Oberwald is quite okay – there is not really much variety on the plate but considering that the kitchen was closed and the waiter was alone, the selection was quite okay. Taking into account the moderate price of around CHF 30.
The Restaurant in the Sporthotel Oberwald is located in the middle of nowhere in the Wallis part of Switzerland. Not too far from Oberwald is the ski region “Andermatt”. The waiter and waitress are friendly but not too quick. The interior of the restaurant in the Sporthotel Oberwald is okay, but not too appealing – it’s pretty old-fashioned and kind of boring.
In any case, if you’re around that area the restaurant in the Sporthotel Oberwald is pretty okay for a beer and a “Plättli” – but not much more.
