When the kitchen is definitely way too slow: Restaurant terrasse (21. July 2020)

What I like about the terrasse is the fact that you get to sit outside – what I don’t like about the terrasse is the fact that the service is very slow especially during lunchtime which is really quite annoying. I decided to go for the “veal tartar (veal tartare, celery, herb salad, estragon crème fraîche)” (CHF 16.00) which took them a good 25 minutes to prepare. It was good in taste but I was a bit surprised about the size (rather small) and the fact that there was no bread served with it.

The main course, a “Caesar Salad (Romana salad, bacon, Parmesan, brioche croûtons, Caesar dressing, chicken)” (CHF 32.00), was okay but far from outstanding. The chicken was a bit too dry for my personal gusto and the dressing was applied rather ‘stingy’. Else, the ingredients were good but it was just somehow lacking in taste.

Again, the place is lovely and the service is friendly but the kitchen is way too slow – especially if you offer something like ‘lunch menus’. So, if you have time and no appointments, I can recommend the terrasse. If you’re under time pressure and have appointments, not so much.
