Somewhat of a well-hidden gem for lunch: Restaurant Rosaly’s (25. August 2020)
Somehow, I always keep forgetting that the Rosaly’s exists at the Bellevue. Not because it’s bad but because it’s kind of hidden and you walk past it when you regularly pass there. However, the Rosaly’s is actually a nice little restaurant which offers great lunch menus. I went for the “cold cucumber soup” as a starter which was refreshing and enough in size to get your palate going.
The “confessed whiting, beluga lentils, vegetable brunoise, horseradish-orange-lemon-gremolata” (CHF 29.00) did not only look great but it was also super tasty – and I say that even though I’m not a big fan of lentils. The fish itself was a bit tiny and could have been a bigger portion but else, it was truly enjoyable. Definitely a great lunch menu – especially for the price.
The place is nice as you get to sit outside and have some space between the tables making a good place in Corona times. The prices are also fair – of course for the menu but also for the beverages (e.g. “double espresso” for CHF 6.50 or “water (0.5L)” for CHF 6.50). All in all, the Restaurant Rosaly’s is a place I can recommend you for lunch – book in advance as else you won’t really have a chance to get a table.
