Pulled pork burger which makes you salivate: Restaurant Palavrion (25. November 2020)
Somehow I always have the Palavrion in mind as a place of beef. And every time I’m there, I’m seeing so many other dishes which aren’t really beef related. However, that doesn’t mean they’re any bad. The “green pulled pork burger (pork meat prepared in the apple wood smoker, coleslaw, apple, iceberg lettuce, mayo, BBQ cranberry sauce)” (CHF 31.95) with “additional jalapeños” (+ CHF 2.95) was quite a portion for lunch. The French fries were a bit stroppy and relatively boring to be honest, but the pulled pork was absolutely mouth-watering and you would salivate for quite some time after having enjoyed that burger.
The place is simple but has set up a good Covid-19 concept as the tables are quite far apart from each other (which was to a large degree already the case pre-Covid). The waitress did an excellent job as she was super friendly, swift, and attentive. And all in all, the prices are also rather fair for Zurich (also during lunch time) – and that as well for the beverages (e.g. bottle of water for CHF 5.95 and double espresso for CHF 5.95). So, while it is apparently not so beef-associated as I had in mind, the Palavrion definitely is a great place for a quick business lunch.
