Lovely location right next to the lake shore: Restaurant L’O (31. May 2021)
I have heard quite a bit about the L’O in Horgen and I must say, I do understand why. The place offers tasty dishes, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. The “petit frites, small fried fish with soy mayo” (CHF 24.00) were a good starter to begin the evening. They were super crispy of course since there isn’t really too much fish to these things but in combination with the soy mayo, it was overall quite delicious.
The “loup de mer for one person” (CHF 44.00) did not only look lovely but was actually tasty in terms of flavor and consistency. Now, one can argue that you don’t get too much fish for that price (which is true) but still, all in all, it’s a tasty piece of fish I can definitely recommend.
The “risotto and spinach” which were the side dishes (CHF 15.50) were absolutely enjoyable. Especially the creaminess of the risotto was exquisite!
Besides the fact that the waitress was absolutely lovely and friendly, the place is also breath taking in terms of view since you’re seated right next to the lake shore.
And it gets better throughout the evening when the sun goes down. So, I can definitely recommend a visit to the L’O Horgen.
All in all, the restaurant promises tasty food for fair prices in a lovely atmosphere with great service. So, from my perspective, definitely a place one can visit again.
