Tasty main dishes but not so tasty appetizers: Restaurant KimSang Panasia Cuisine (17. June 2021)
It is almost a decade ago since I’ve last been here – and this evening I decided to go here again. The place is nothing spectacular – even really not that appealing since there is like zero decoration but very simple wooden chairs and tables. But the service is swift and friendly and I was able to get the menu and place my order within a few minutes. Additionally, the food was served rather swiftly – which was perfect since it was close to 10pm.
I went for the “Cha Bo La Lot (grilled beef in lolot leaf)” (EUR 6.90) as a starter and that was disappointing. Now, I don’t know how these things are supposed to taste in reality since I haven’t been to Vietnam yet. However, the filling was wrapped so tightly that you would barely be able to taste it – which was just plainly unpleasant.
However, the “Pho Xao Bo & Cari (fried Vietnamese rice noodles with fresh herbs, beef, a mild yellow curry)” (EUR 15.90) was actually delicious. The combination of different flavors and textures provided for a full meal experience – in terms of flavor, texture, and amount.
So, the KimSang Panasia Cuisine is an okay place to visit. Depends a bit on what you order it can be either relatively boring in terms of taste experience or quite delicious. So, go there, try your luck!
