Delicious breaded pork schnitzel which fills your tummy: Restaurant Bistro k2 (9. July 2021)
I have passed by the Bistro k2 various times already but was so far never able to enter as the place was closed during Corona. Finally, it was time to give it a shot and eat inside. The “soup of the day” was good and was served within a few minutes after we had placed the order.
If you are into trying a big piece of meat, you should definitely go for the “MAAG classic (breaded MAAG Swiss pork schnitzel (250gr, butterfly cut), country fries, cranberry jam, lemon)” (CHF 29.50) and it was not only a bit portion it was also absolutely great in taste. The meat was tender, not chewy at all, and actually nicely thin and overall very enjoyable. The fries were good too – a bit too oily (but just a tiny bit) for my gusto, but else great.
The place is relatively simple but nice in terms of layout. The waiter was friendly, attentive, and did a great job, especially considering that he was the only one responsible for the whole restaurant. All in all, I can recommend the Bistro k2 for lunch. I’d highly recommend you to book a table in advance since there are just not that many tables.
