A delicious wedding meal prepared by Chef Luca Mozzanica: Restaurant La Veranda @ Villa Lario Resort Mandello (18. July 2021)

Now, one should usually not rate experiences of formal events but given it was the place of chef Luca Mozzanica which has a world-famous raviolo, I think we can make an exception. The whole evening started with a “burrata” which was good in terms of flavor and good in terms of combination of ingredients on the plate. However, looking at it from a texture profile, personally, the burrata was a tad too dry for me.

The world-famous “raviolo with egg inside and summer truffles” was next in line – and I get why chef Luca Mozzanica is famous for it, since it was a delicious course. Definitely worth trying when you’re in the vicinity.

The main course was a lovely “piece of meat” which was tender, perfectly cooked medium to almost medium-rare, with an intense reduction as sauce and some sides. The meat was tender and so damn aromatic that you would want more (if you weren’t already full from all the delicious food).

Last but not least, there was a little scoop of “ice cream” as part of the dinner. Now, one was wondering at first why only a scoop of ice cream but it absolutely made sense since there was a separate dessert buffet in the garden thereafter.

The Restaurant La Veranda is located – as the name suggests – on a veranda so you have a beautiful view of Lake Como and the whole garden of the Villa Lario Resort Mandello is just gorgeous. So, the surroundings are really perfect and breath-taking! And all in all, the place is just great since you get good food in an amazing atmosphere with good service. I can definitely recommend it!
