Good but not comparable to the one in Vienna: Restaurant El Gaucho Munich (25. July 2021)
It’s quite a while ago since I’ve been at the Restaurant El Gaucho in Munich. But since the first time I’ve visited an ‘El Gaucho’ in Vienna many year ago, I have grown fond of the place. I went for a main, i.e., “Bife de Lomo – Filet Steak (250gr)” (EUR 35.00) with “truffle gnocchi in cream” (EUR 6.00) and “”Sauce Béarnaise” (EUR 2.00) which makes it quite a price for Germany. But the meat was tender, i.e., generally good but had a bit too much of a grill flavor for my personal gusto. The truffle gnocchi were good but nothing exquisite.
The garden view is quite lovely all in all and it is definitely nice when you get to sit outside and enjoy your meal. The service is friendly and generally attentive. However, in the beginning it took them quite a while until they finally brought the menu and the beverages.
All in all, the restaurant El Gaucho in Munich is definitely something I can recommend when it comes to steaks and the like, however, my memory of the Viennese version is somehow better than this specific experience. Still, recommended.
