Remains a great place for a delicious business lunch: Restaurant Accademia del Gusto (7. September 2021)

The Accademia del Gusto is just a safe bet when you are looking for a tasty lunch offering. I went for the “doppio raviolo farcito di burrata e pappa di pomodoro con salsa al parmigiano” (CHF 24.00) which was rich and luscious in terms of flavor. Especially the sauce was absolutely mouth-watering.

What was even better was the main course, the “fegato di vitello alla veneziana” (CHF 40.00) was just truly delicious. The liver was smooth and didn’t have any chewy parts but was rich in terms of consistency of the meat and the way it was prepared – definitely a dish I can highly recommend here.

There was one part though which was creating some kind of ‘foul taste’ – paying an additional CHF 12.00 for the “champagne risotto” just seems off. Even if the risotto was great in terms of consistency and flavor, it just doesn’t feel right to pay more than CHF 10.00 for a little bowl of risotto.

For dessert, you get a small “melone dish” which was rich and lovely overall. The place itself is nice and if you manage to score a table outside, that makes it pretty perfect, i.e., there is some sun, there is some action in the streets, and it’s just generally nice.

On top of that, the service is friendly and swift and makes sure you get everything you need within due time and they are super attentive. Just how service should be. Even when most restaurants fail (bringing the bill), they are super swift. So, all in all, the Restaurant Accademia del Gusto remains exactly that – a great place with tasty dishes, great service and nice atmosphere. Not necessarily on the cheap side but definitely worth visiting.
