15. April 2011: Roof Top Bar in the Golden City Hotel
We accidently found the Roof Top Bar in the Golden City Hotel – and it definitely is a great spot. From the top floor of the hotel you can see all over the Bosporus – it’s just an amazing view you have from there.
The furniture on top of the hotel is also pretty nice – modernly and entirely held in wood. Later in the evening, the tables are set and this makes the whole thing even nicer.
The waiters are friendly and helpful – only the chief waiter is not really reliable – unfortunately. But the others are friendly, quick, speak English, and are always there when you’re looking for a new beer.
Overall, the Roof Top Bar in the Golden City Hotel is a great place to sit outside and have a couple of beers during the day when the sun is shining. If you have enough time to enjoy your time in Istanbul, it’s definitely worth going.
