Always great for a nice platter of Robespierre: Restaurant Bederhof (4. November 2021)
The Bederhof is always a great location for a nice traditional dinner. They offered a special this evening, a “pheasant terrine with toast and chutney” (CHF 15.50) which was definitely nice, especially with the chutney and the pickled fruit. The toast which was served with it worked perfectly together with the rest.
What I always love at the Bederhof is the “beef Robespierre with pommes alumettes” (CHF 49.50) which is served in two portions à 90 grams and is absolutely lovely in terms of flavor and intensity. Plus, the meat is of great quality and highly enjoyable.
The pommes alumettes were great and the fact that they served the ketchup in a little bowl which was nice as well.
The place is simple in terms of interior design but it is super comfortable somehow. Secondly, the service was super friendly and efficient even though they seemed to be quite strained with regards to number of service personnel.
